Govardhan Puja, also known as Annakoot, is a festival celebrated in India to commemorate Lord Krishna's victory over the rain god Indra. It is observed on the fourth day of the Kartika month, usually in October or November. Devotees visit temples to offer prayers, flowers, fruits, and sweets to Lord Krishna and Mount Govardhan. Families come together to enjoy a vegetarian feast and reflect on the importance of faith and the environment.
